Ducati extends licensing deal with IMG
Ducati, the Italian motorcycle brand, has extended its exclusive global licensing agreement with IMG, the international sports management and marketing agency.
The agreement covers various products such as apparel, toys, accessories and footwear.
The two parties will launch a range of new products this year, including limited edition watches designed by Italy’s Locman company, an international eyewear collection of sunglasses and prescription glasses by Mondottica, and Ducati wooden balance bikes in Europe and North America.
In addition, an apparel, footwear and accessories collection will be launched in India with online retail giant Flipkart, while in Singapore and Malaysia, the brand is to launch an apparel line.
Since 2015, when IMG was appointed in an initial four-year deal, Ducati’s licensed products portfolio has expanded across eyewear, watches, fragrance, technology, apparel, footwear and accessories.
Last year, the brand launched a male fragrance, a range of drones in Europe and a collection of bags, luggage, wallets and headwear in Thailand.
Alessandro Cicognani, licensing and corporate partnership director at Ducati Motor Holding, said: “Since we started working with IMG, it has been fantastic to see Ducati’s licensing presence grow into new territories across Europe, Asia and the Americas, and our entry into an eclectic range of relevant categories and products. We are thrilled with the quality, diversity and popularity of the new product ranges we have launched over the past two years, and remain confident that IMG is the best partner to help us continue this expansion.”
